
Avolon has ordered 100 LEAP-1A engines from CFM International at the Dubai Airshow to power 50 Airbus A320neo family aircraft.
The engines featured composite fan blades and ceramic matrix composites for 15pc fuel efficiency and lower carbon emissions than CFM56. Avolon manages 99 A320neo family aircraft powered by LEAP-1A with firm orders for 163 more. The company holds 149 A320neo family aircraft and an orderbook of 347 at 30 September 2025.
The order supports airline growth and replacement requirements through 2030 with reduced emissions.
