AerCap signs lease agreements with South Africa’s FlySafair for three B 737 MAX

AerCap has signed lease agreements with FlySafair for three Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft scheduled from Q1 2028 and two 737-800NG from Q3 2026.

The deal revealed at the Dubai Airshow 2025 marked FlySafair as a new AerCap customer.

The 737 MAX supported fleet modernisation efficiency sustainability and passenger experience. FlySafair operated domestic routes across ten South African airports and five international African destinations.

The carrier ranked top on-time low-cost airline in Africa and Middle East by Cirium for 2024.

Kirby Gordon shared “We’re thrilled to embark on this next stage of our fleet development with AerCap as we introduce the Boeing 737 MAX to our operations.”
