AirAsia X plans at least one or two additional European routes in 2026.
The carrier launched four weekly Kuala Lumpur-Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen services on 14 November 2025. They are considering collaboration with a partner airline which is nearing finalisation for the expansion.
The first four A321-200NX(LR) aircraft arrived in the second half of 2026. Potential hubs include Central Asia and Bahrain for connections to Western Europe.
