Gulf Air has firmed an order for fifteen Boeing 787-9 aircraft at the Dubai Airshow. The airline secured options for three additional units.

New aircraft featured General Electric GEnx engines instead of Rolls-Royce Trent 1000. The total commitment reached eighteen 787-9s including earlier orders. The Dreamliners serve as the carrier’s only widebody type.
