Ryanair has been unsuccessful in a bid to have documents seized from its Dublin office returned in the High Court.

The Italian competition authority used the documents to form a provisional view of anti-competitive conduct by the airline.

Ryanair claimed a potential fine of up to 10pc of its global turnover estimated at €1.4bn if the allegations are proven.
