The London version of Cruise Critic reader’s choice awards across 15 regions around the world (see here) have picked out Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bonaire, Cozumel, Juneau, Kauai, Paris, Puerto Vallarta, St Petersburg, Sydney, Vanuatu, Venice and a private island in the Bahamas as their favourites.
English cruise passengers rated Cobh second in the north-western Europe category, behind Amstedam and ahead of Greenock, Lisbon and Brugges. The winners were:
- Alaska: Glacier Bay in Juneau
- Asia & South Pacific: Mystery Island, Vanuatu
- Australia & New Zealand: Sydney
- Eastern Caribbean: Sint Maarten
- Southern Caribbean: Bonaire, Leeward Antilles
- Western Caribbean & Riviera Maya: Cozumel
- European River: Paris
- Northern Europe: St Petersburg
- North-western Europe: Amsterdam
- Hawaii: Kauai
- Eastern Mediterranean: Venice
- Western Mediterranean: Barcelona
- Mexican Riviera & South America: Puerto Vallarta
- Private Islands: Disney Castaway Cay, Bahamas
- US & Canada: San Francisco
