Heathrow to increase drop-off fee to £7 from January 1

Heathrow is to increase its  drop-off fee to £7 from 1 January 2026. The airport has introduced a ten-minute maximum stay in drop-off areas.

The feewill be  applied to vehicles entering terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. The system captures registration details via ANPR cameras. Non-payment will result in a £80 Parking Charge Notice.

Heathrow Airport shared in a written statement “the increased drop-off fee brings Heathrow in line with other major UK airports and plays a key role in our sustainability strategy” We have introduced a ten-minute maximum stay to smooth traffic flow and reduce congestion. 95% of passenger visits are under ten minutes so we expect minimal impact.”
