Unions called a ground handling strike at Madrid-Barajas Airport affecting mainly IAG-owned airlines including Iberia, British Airways, Aer Lingus, and Vueling.
Strike dates fall on December 23, 26, and 30 2025 plus January 2 and 7 2026. Disruptions occur between 8 AM to 12 AM and 6 PM to 10 PM daily. South Europe Ground Services handles the affected operations as an IAG subsidiary. Passengers face potential delays with options to rebook up to January 15 2026.
