The ‘Dublin City Council Dublin Winter Lights’ festival returns from late November to December, featuring vibrant projections and lighting displays across multiple city center locations for the first time, including new sites like the National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks and James Joyce Bridge.
The event aims for a low carbon footprint by using LED lights, battery storage, and hydrotreated vegetable oil as fuel, eliminating generators, and implementing energy-efficient practices.
New installations include a 360-degree immersive lighting experience at the Collins Barracks and a 30-foot snow globe at Merrion Square Park, alongside a children’s art competition projected onto Barnardo Square.
Ticketed events will take place at Merrion Square Park and Collins Barracks, with advanced ticket availability, including relaxed viewing sessions designed for neurodiverse individuals to experience the lights in a calmer environment.
