
A special episode of the Italian TV show Geo featured Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, reaching 1.2m viewers on 23 October.
Filming occurred at sites such as Brookfield Farm near Nenagh, Birr Castle Demesne, and Lough Boora Discovery Park, with support from Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
Additional locations included Strokestown Park House, Athlone Castle, Sean’s Bar in Athlone, Tullamore D.E.W. Distillery, and Celtic Roots Studio.
The production also covered the Irish National Stud in Kildare and Cushendale Woollen Mills in Graignamanagh.
Such broadcasts form part of Tourism Ireland’s efforts to increase tourism from Italy.
