Avia Solutions Group has sold SmartLynx Airlines Riga to management and a Dutch fund. SmartLynx Airlines Estonia and Malta will merge into one unit and rebrand.
The group targets 27-30 aircraft per AOC across three European brands. SmartLynx Riga operates 11 A320-200s and 4 A321-200s focusing on ACMI and charter.
Consolidation extends to Ascend Airways, Avion Express, KlasJet and AirExplore.
Jonas Janukenas shared “By consolidating our European AOCs and expanding into counter-cyclical markets in Asia Pacific and Latin America, we aim to optimise year-round operations.”
