Portuguese Grand Prix to return to the Algarve for 2027 and 2028

Formula 1 returns to Autódromo Internacional do Algarve with the announcement that the Portuguese Grand Prix will be hosted at Portimão for 2027 and 2028

Studies estimate that there is a €100m impact per Grand Prix. The announcement followed joint task force efforts to bring Formula 1 back to the track which has been under-used in recent years. Officials anticipated higher media value and tourism demand than was originally estimated.

We are ready to host this event, showcasing the best of Portuguese hospitality and our entrepreneurial spirit.”
