Live choir performances greeted arrivals today and tomorrow at Shannon Airport, which anticipates over 8,000 passengers on peak days during the Christmas rush.
Total passengers exceeded 125,000 over the festive period representing a 10pc increase. The busiest days fell on 19 December and again 2 January.
The airport remains open on Christmas Day.
