Airbus recorded 203 net new orders in July 2026 compared to Boeing’s 30 net new orders, a dramatic gap that comes in the wake of the Farnborough Airshow, where Airbus successfully finalised major single-aisle and widebody commitments. Airbus reported 204 gross orders with 1 cancellation, while Boeing reported 38 gross orders with 8 cancellations. Airbus delivered 67 aircraft in July, while Boeing delivered 53 aircraft.
Airbus secured a massive order of 100 A320neo family jets from Irish leasing giant SMBC Aviation Capital, with additional major orders from China Eastern (25 A330neos), Hainan Airlines, and flynas. The European plane maker maintained its total year-to-date delivery lead with 418 aircraft sent to customers. Boeing’s 38 gross orders were almost evenly split between narrowbody and widebody jets, including 18 737 MAXs and 19 787 Dreamliners.
While Boeing announced a 100-jet deal with SMBC Aviation Capital at the airshow, that specific order had already been logged back in June under an unidentified customer. Boeing’s monthly delivery pace slowed slightly from 64 jets in June to 53 in July, as the manufacturer focuses primarily on stabilising its assembly output. Airbus delivered 67 aircraft in July.
