Tourism Ireland confirmed its first 2026 promotion in Scotland with the Celtic Connections B2B workshop and networking event in Glasgow. Twenty-three Irish tourism businesses including hotels, attractions, and regional organisations connected with British tour operators and travel agents. The event highlighted Ireland’s tourism offerings for short breaks and holidays.
Tourism Ireland will facilitate over 30,000 commercial meetings globally in 2026 to support SMEs and grow overseas tourism value. The focus remains on attracting visitors who spend more through extended stays and activities. The workshop strengthens ties with the GB market.
Julie Wakley shared We’re really pleased that so many of our tourism partners from Ireland have joined us in Glasgow this week, highlighting our superb tourism offering to the influential tour operators and travel agents in attendance. Our Celtic Connections workshop is a great opportunity to remind these travel professionals why Ireland is the ideal choice for their clients for a short break or holiday in 2026.
