Several north Dublin areas experienced notable flooding following heavy rain on Thursday night and Friday morning. Met Éireann issued a Status Yellow warning at 02:37 on Friday after rainfall intensified beyond earlier forecasts.

It said its dedicated radar team is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. However, the forecaster said its capabilities continue with data from multiple observations sources including other weather radar operating in Ireland and the UK, satellite imagery and weather reports from ground stations nationwide. Additionally, it said weather forecast models, numerical weather prediction systems, are operating as normal.
