Tourism in Ballinasloe County Galway and surrounding areas has received a major lift through €1.2m under Fáilte Ireland’s Regenerative Tourism and Placemaking Scheme announced in early February 2026.
The funding aims to enhance visitor experiences develop sustainable attractions and strengthen local hospitality offerings. It supports broader efforts to grow tourism in the east Galway region drawing more domestic and international visitors to the area.
