Taoiseach launches Tourism Ireland Semana de Irlanda campaign in Madrid

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has visited Madrid to launch Tourism Ireland’s Semana de Irlanda at the Gran Vía metro station in Madrid.

The station has been renamed to Green Vía as part of Ireland Week celebrations in Madrid, Paris, and Milan. Events showcase Irish culture including dance, food, and music to around 200,000 people in Madrid. Tourism Ireland’s global campaign includes iconic landmarks lighting green and media visits to Ireland.

Alice Mansergh shared “We are delighted to have Taoiseach Micheál Martin join us in Madrid to launch ‘Semana de Irlanda’ and kick off our St Patrick’s Day 2026 programme of promotions.”
