The rare artefact is on loan from Wiltshire auction house Henry Aldridge and Sons, the world’s leading Titanic memorabilia auctioneers, until Sunday 5th April, before going to auction on 18th April. Titanic Belfast is to display an original lifejacket worn by survivor Laura Mabel Francatelli. The artefact comes on loan from Henry Aldridge and Sons before its auction on 18 April.

Laura Mabel Francatelli travelled as secretary to Lady Lucy Duff Gordon in first class.

The lifejacket carries signatures from Francatelli and other survivors including Charles Hendrickson, George Taylor, and James Horswill.

Eimear Kearney shared “We are honoured to display the lifejacket worn by Laura Mabel Francatelli, a survivor of RMS Titanic and celebrate the women who travelled onboard through our ‘Women of Titanic: Survival, Influence & Legacy’ exhibition.”
