Organisers have prepared the Wexford Maritime Festival for the weekend of 29 to 31 May. The event has featured regattas, boat trips and stand-up paddle boarding on the quay. A maritime village has showcased seafaring traditions alongside local artisan food and live Irish music.
The newly formed committee has drawn on the success of previous events such as the Fleadh in Wexford. Evening performances have included acts such as Aslan, Big Generator and The Ruben Buggy Band. Family-friendly activities have filled the programme throughout the weekend.
Ciaran Mooney shared “We were inspired by the success and impact of the Fleadh in Wexford. By combining the experience of local businesses, the previous maritime festival organisers, and a love for Wexford, the committee is committed to working together for the good of the town.”David Maguire shared “You’ll see the harbour full of activity, with boats, water sports, food, music, and families enjoying the quay all weekend.”
