Exceltur raises tourism growth forecast for Spain to 2.5pc

• Exceltur has raised its growth forecast for Spanish tourism to two point five percent.
• The refuge effect from Middle East conflicts has driven the revision.
• Traveller shifts have brought an injection of four point two billion euros.
• Net positive impact reaches one hundred and ninety four million euros.
• The contribution to Spanish GDP is set to rise to twelve point eight percent.

Exceltur has raised its tourism growth forecast for Spain to 2.5pc n 2026 due to the refuge effect from conflicts in the Middle East. 

The shift of travellers has injected four point two billion euros into the Spanish tourism sector. Overall the net positive impact stands at one hundred and ninety four million euros after accounting for energy price rises.
