Hook Lighthouse has confirmed the Shine A Light Festival on 3 May as a free family friendly event that celebrates Ireland’s maritime heritage. The programme runs from 10am to 4pm and includes interactive demonstrations from Irish Coast Services, family games, hands on activities and food offerings. Guided lighthouse tours run daily from 10am to 4pm.
Children’s art sessions with Rose cost €10 per person while beginner adult art classes cost €15 and take place on Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am to 4pm. The maritime museum and sustainability centre remain open all weekend.
