Riviera Travel has rolled out dedicated Cruise Hosts across its European river cruise fleet and enhances onboard guest engagement. The role complements existing entertainment with quizzes, games and wellbeing sessions such as Tai Chi. Hosts focus on social interaction especially for first-time and solo travellers.

James Golding confirmed the initiative followed guest feedback and agent input. The programme received investment in recruitment and training. Rollout continues throughout the 2026 season.

Vicky Billing noted the value for trade partners. Hosts work alongside Cruise Directors on vessels including Riviera Radiance. The addition supports inclusive onboard atmospheres.
