Tourism Ireland has taken part in a four-city sales blitz across China that has showcased the island of Ireland to around 180 tour operators and travel agents. The events, organised with ETOA and VisitBritain, took place in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai.
Seven Irish tourism companies joined workshops and networking sessions that aimed to encourage partners to add or expand Ireland in their 2026 programmes. Participants included representatives from Birr Castle Demesne, Game of Thrones Studio Tour and Kildare Village among others.
Aisling McDermott shared “We’re delighted that around 180 key Chinese travel professionals took the time to come and meet with our partners from Ireland. Our aim is to increase their awareness of Ireland, to help us secure a greater share of their business for Ireland in 2026 and beyond.”
