The KLM Open attracts thousands of spectators each year as one of the oldest international golf tournaments in Europe. Representatives highlight Irish courses and the welcome extended to international golfers. Tourism Ireland participates in promotions that target key golf markets including the Netherlands.

Golf tourism forms part of broader efforts to attract visitors to Ireland with its courses and scenery. The initiative aligns with events such as the Walker Cup at Lahinch and the Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg.

Karen van der Horst shared “Our presence at this year’s KLM Open is just one element of Tourism Ireland’s busy programme of promotions to encourage golfers in the Netherlands and other key golf markets to consider a holiday in Ireland.”
