Viajes El Corte Ingles reports strong business growth

Viajes El Corte Inglés, the travel division of Spanish retail giant El Corte Inglés, has reported robust business growth for the 2025–2026 financial year (ended February 28, 2026). Driven by a surge in leisure travel and a recovery in corporate partnerships, the subsidiary achieved global revenues of €3.489bn

Core growth drivers were leisure holiday segments, corporate business travel normalization, and private tour operators like Tourmundial and Club de Vacaciones

The group’s operational shift significantly enhanced overall cash flow, resulting in the following strategic adjustments. Net financial debt dropped by €148m, lowering the group’s leverage ratio to 1.3 times EBITDA, the lowest in nearly two decades.

Under Group Chairwoman Cristina Álvarez, the group allocated €567m to capital expenditures during the fiscal year, with plans to boost spending to €650m for the 2026–2027 fiscal year. The online retail infrastructure and proprietary booking apps experienced heavy engagement, reaching over 1.007bn online visits.
