Etihad Airways and the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi will provide free medical travel insurance to eligible international visitors from next month until the end of the year. The cover lasts up to 15 days and applies to passengers on Etihad-operated flights where both origin and sale point are outside the UAE. Stopover passengers are also included.
The initiative aims to reassure visitors and highlight Abu Dhabi’s hospitality. It comes amid ongoing FCDO advice for the UAE, with reports that Emirates is considering a similar but paid policy.
