G Adventures has become the latest operator to resume tours to Jordan, starting from 1 August. This follows the advisories removing the destination from its no travel list on 3 June, although advice against travel within three kilometres of the Syrian border remains. The trips will include highlights such as Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and Jerash.
Chief Operating Officer Michelle Hudema highlighted tourism’s vital role in supporting local communities. Late summer and autumn are noted as excellent times to visit for hiking or solo traveller adventures. Other operators like Explore Worldwide and Intrepid have also reinstated Jordan programmes, with strong prior demand.
