Belfast City Council has marked six weeks to go until Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann takes place in the city.
The event runs from Sunday 2 August to Sunday 9 August 2026 and marks the first time the festival comes to Belfast. Irish dancers and musicians took part in the countdown event.
Lord Mayor Councillor Róis-Máire Donnelly joined musicians from Ards CCÉ including Mark McCusker, harpist Ursula Burns, Labhrás Ó Murchu and Attracta Brady. The festival features traditional music, dance and culture.
