Aer Lingus has hosted a fam trip to Colorado for Irish travel trade professionals to offer firsthand experience of the region’s diverse tourism offerings.

Led by Ivan Beacom of Aer Lingus, the itinerary showcased how easily Irish holidaymakers can transition from a city break to a rugged mountain adventure using the airline’s direct transatlantic network.

The multi-day itinerary across Colorado featured a balanced mix of urban culture, local heritage, and alpine exploration:

The trade group began in Colorado’s vibrant capital, experiencing its bustling arts scene. Key highlights included a guided graffiti tour of the trendy River North (RiNo) Art District and dinner at local culinary hotspots.

The group visited the world-famous Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre just outside the city center.  The delegation traveled north to Fort Collins, a picture-perfect town that served as the design inspiration for Disneyland’s Main Street.

Agents explored the independent shops and galleries via an e-bike tour and participated in a local food-and-beer tasting journey.

Serving as the basecamp for Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park featured thrill rides on the Mustang Mountain Coaster, dropping 2,000 feet down a mountainside. Local guides led the professionals on a trek from Bear Lake up to Dream Lake, teaching them about the area’s natural history and wildlife.

Accommodation and evening entertainment took place at the historic Stanley Hotel, famously known as Stephen King’s creative inspiration for The Shining.
