Tourism Ireland has teamed with Visit Cork and Cork Airport in Germany to promote direct flights from Frankfurt to Cork with Lufthansa. The event at Lufthansa Group Hangar One at Frankfurt Airport has featured six tourism companies from Cork and Minister of State Jerry Buttimer TD. Guests have sampled Cork produce and have participated in a Hyde Irish Whiskey tasting.

The promotion has highlighted Cork’s accommodation offering and attractions in the city and county. The initiative has aimed to drive bookings on flights to regional airports like Cork Airport and to support local economies through sustainable tourism. Entertainment has come from Angela Newman of Hysterical Histories Cork.
