Air Seychelles to lease two A321XLRs from SMBC

Air Seychelles has confirmed it will dry lease two A321-200NY(XLR)s from SMBC Aviation Capital, with deliveries scheduled in 2028. The aircraft will come from the lessor’s Airbus order book. The carrier plans to use the type to reach established tourist source markets and develop new destinations.

Air Seychelles currently operates two A320-200Ns on regional routes from Mahé, alongside five DHC-6-400s on domestic services. It also wet leases one A330-300 from Hi Fly Malta. The airline previously revealed the leasing plan in an interview with ch-aviation.
