Turkish Airlines has permanently axed 11 destinations from its network ahead of the 2026/2027 winter season. The carrier removed five African routes from its long-term schedule including Juba, Kinshasa, Libreville, Luanda, and Lusaka. These destinations had previously been under temporary suspension with planned resumption dates that have now been removed from the system.
European routes removed include Billund in Denmark and Leipzig/Halle in Germany. Middle East and Central Asia destinations cut include Ferghana, Kirkuk, Najaf, and Turkistan. Several other routes face severe delays rather than permanent termination, with Havana and Aqaba pushed back until at least 28 March 2027.
Flights to Iranian destinations including Tehran, Mashhad, Shiraz, Tabriz, and Isfahan are delayed until late March 2027. Turkish Airlines is also reducing frequencies on operational winter routes to Skopje, Pristina, Sarajevo, and Zagreb, reducing former-Yugoslav market capacity by over 9pc. The carrier continues expansion plans across core Asian, Oceanian, and major international hubs. The 11 permanently removed destinations are grouped below by region:

- Balkan Reductions: The airline is also cutting frequencies on operational winter routes to cities like Skopje, Pristina, Sarajevo, and Zagreb, reducing its total former-Yugoslav market capacity by over 9%.
