- Free tickets are available for the Gig Rig accessible viewing area for ceremonies.
- Blue badge holders can park at Dunbar Link and Smithfield.
Belfast City Council and partners are working to ensure an inclusive and accessible Fleadh from 2-9 August. Accessible facilities will include additional accessible toilets, Changing Places facilities, sign interpretation and captioning of events, seated rest areas, quiet spaces, kerb ramps, a free shuttle bus and dedicated accessible parking. An Accessibility Hub will be available at CastleCourt Shopping Centre, operated by Open Arts with support from Volunteer Now.
Councillor Ruth Brooks stated making sure everyone can access the fantastic experiences Belfast has to offer is top of the priority list. The Hub will offer sensory supports such as ear defenders and fidget tools, and assistance dogs are welcome. Accessible shuttle buses will run from Park & Ride sites at Eikon Exhibition Centre, Giant’s Park and Belfast Harbour.
A limited number of free tickets are available for the accessible viewing area at the Gig Rig stage at City Hall for the opening and closing ceremonies. Blue badge holders can park at Dunbar Link and Smithfield car parks. A parent and child changing space will be available in City Hall grounds and on Hill Street.
