Club Travel acquires Clubworld Travel and its seven branches across north

Liam Lonergan’s Club Travel has announced the acquisition of Clubworld Travel, one of the north’[s established travel businesses, strengthening its presence across the island of Ireland. The deal brings the Lurgan based independent travel agency into the larger Dublin-based travel group, with the Clubworld Travel brand continuing to operate under its well-known name. Founder and Managing Director Delia Aston will remain with the business, working alongside Club Travel owner Liam Lonergan to guide the next growth phase.

All existing branches and staff will remain in place, with customers’ holiday bookings, travel arrangements, and supplier terms continuing as normal. The acquisition expands Club Travel’s footprint into the northern market and follows its recent purchase of Mullingar Travel. Clubworld Travel gains the financial backing and technology investment of a larger group while preserving the local retail expertise built over 35 years.

The deal ensures no job losses and no disruption to service, with Clubworld Travel continuing to serve customers across the region through its network of seven branches across Banbridge,  Belfast Beersbridge Road, Belfast Lisburn Road, Carrickfergus, Lurgan, Newry and Portadown. The existing leadership team will work collaboratively to support continued success and investment in the business.

Clubworld’s main multi-branch competitors are Hays Travel which operates 23 retail branches and Sandra Corkin’s Oasis Travel which operates eight branches.
