Now in its third year, the festival brings together communities across Navan, Baile Ghib (Gibstown), Wilkinstown, Castletown, Nobber and Kilmainhamwood for a weekend of activities designed to encourage people to discover the Greenway and experience local culture. Supported by Meath County Council and Boyne Valley Tourism, Siamsa Glas showcases the communities located along the Greenway while also highlighting the Irish language and cultural heritage of Baile Ghib.

New additions to this year’s programme include the Wilkinstown Community Market with more than 20 makers and bakers stalls, Cuairt Rothar ar Ghaeltacht Bhaile Ghib (a guided cycle through the Baile Ghib area), Craobh na bPrátaí (a new potato competition celebrating local growing traditions), and Save the Last Dance (a new original production by the Yellow River Drama Group). Festival highlights also include the Fiáin Green Run, a family bike ride and picnic, biodiversity walks, heritage talks, Meath Made workshops, traditional music sessions, a cultural concert in Nobber Heritage Centre, and wellness experiences.

Many events throughout the weekend are free to attend, making the festival an accessible opportunity for local communities and visitors alike to explore the Greenway and enjoy a diverse programme of experiences. The Boyne Valley to Lakelands Greenway opened in 2023 and provides the 30km off-road walking, running and cycling trail linking many of the participating communities along its route.
