Nobu Hotel Madrid has opened on 1 September 2026, marking the debut of the luxury hospitality brand co-founded by Robert De Niro, chef Nobu Matsuhisa and producer Meir Teper in the Spanish capital. The five-star boutique establishment is located at 26 Calle Alcalá, situated in the historic Las Cortes district between the Plaza de Cibeles and Puerta del Sol. The property represents Nobu’s fifth property in Spain and its first year-round administrative and urban flagship in the country.
Designed by Studio Caramba, the hotel features 50 guestrooms and suites styled with warm wood tones, organic textiles and deep green accents, including a 105-square-metre Nobu Suite with a private terrace overlooking the city skyline. The property houses Madrid’s first Nobu Restaurant, a three-level dining destination designed by Studio Gronda integrating a main restaurant, a dynamic bar, a lounge and a rooftop terrace. The menu introduces signature Japanese-Peruvian fusion dishes alongside exclusive creations using local Spanish ingredients.
The Vault Cocktail Bar occupies the lower ground floor in the building’s former life as a bank, incorporating original features including thick vault walls and safety deposit boxes. The hotel features a wellness centre, indoor swimming pool, Technogym fitness facility and Byredo bathroom amenities. The property was transformed from a 1960s office building after an extensive redevelopment process that began in 2022.
