Warwickshire based Co-op Travel has officially rebranded as TravelCoop following the high-profile merger of three major co-operative societies: Central Co-op, The Midcounties Co-operative, and Chelmsford Star Co-op, which have come together under a unified parent identity known as OurCoop. The transition aligns the travel arm with other newly unified sister brands within the group, such as FoodCoop, EnergyCoop, MobileCoop, and BroadbandCoop.
Existing holiday bookings remain completely unaffected, with customers continuing to book through high street branches, online via the official website, or by phone with Virtual Travel Experts. While the retail agency network transitions to the TravelCoop name, the company’s internal tour operating arm, Co-op Holidays, retains its current branding, with consortia partners and Personal Travel Agents unaffected.
To celebrate the rollout, OurCoop members receive an exclusive £50 holiday bonus on qualifying TravelCoop holiday bookings, redeemable against trip extras such as airport lounge access, airport parking, hotels, fast-track passes, car rentals, and excursions.
Chief operating officer of travel channels at TravelCoop Claire Evans shared “Our name may be changing, but everything our customers and members know and value about us remains the same – from our expert advice and trusted partners to our unrivalled breadth of choice”
