Tenerife’s Spring Hotels growing 10.6pc in Ireland

Spring Hotels has recorded a 10.6pc year-on-year increase in guests from Ireland following increased investment in the market. The Tenerife hotel group has stepped up its activity in Ireland over the past year including an extended agent roadshow, sales missions, trade training and attendance at the Holiday World Show in Dublin. Last-minute bookings have increased 23pc year-on-year while Hotel Cleopatra, Hotel Vulcano and Mediterranean Palace have seen a 40pc increase in friendship groups arriving from Ireland.

Repeat bookers have accounted for 26pc of Spring Hotels’ Irish guests this year. The current overall demographic split across the portfolio has been 73pc couples, 16pc families, 5pc singles and 5pc friends. The hotel group has comprised six hotels in Tenerife’s Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos.

The Irish market has been important to Spring Hotels as guests have loved the Canary Islands and Tenerife in particular. The company has been committed to supporting the Irish market and has known that being easy to work with, accessible, evolving the offering and making training and booking as easy as possible has been key to supporting the trade.
