Oneworld has included free Timeshifter subscriptions with round-the-world tickets booked on its website, giving travelers jet lag plans covering every flight and time zone change. The partnership was revealed on 8 September at the alliance’s inaugural Loyalty Summit in Dallas/Fort Worth. The service is intended to help the alliance’s customers adjust faster and lose fewer days. Customers booking these round-the-world itineraries average seven stops over about three months.

The Timeshifter subscription will be included with eligible round-the-globe itineraries purchased on the alliance’s website and covers the complete journey including the flight home. Travelers do not need elite airline status to qualify and tickets are available in economy, business and first class. To activate the offer, travelers enter their code on Timeshifter’s oneworld page, download the app and add their flights along with their usual sleep and wake schedule. The app uses those details to build a schedule for seeking or avoiding light, sleeping and napping with reminders delivered at the recommended times.

Timeshifter collaborates with many airlines and travel-related companies. Some of its airline partners include United, Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines, all of which are members of the Star Alliance. For example, United offers free annual Timeshifter access to its Premier 1K and Global Services members through MileagePlus. In contrast, oneworld distinguishes itself by providing Timeshifter access with an eligible ticket purchase without requiring elite status.
