Sunvil has agreed to buy Discover the World Holidays with the deal expected to complete by the end of September. The acquisition will strengthen Sunvil’s offering in rail travel, long-haul destinations and the Nordic region. Staff from the holiday division including sales, operations, product and marketing teams will transfer to ensure continuity. Discover the World Education remains separate.
Founder Clive Stacey is retiring after more than four decades stating he chose Sunvil for its shared values and commitment to specialist travel. Sunvil managing director Chris Wright described the business as one the company has long admired for its pioneering approach and destination expertise. Discover the World Holidays will continue to operate as a standalone brand under Sunvil’s umbrella.
The acquisition strictly encompasses the holiday division. The separate entity Discover the World Education is completely excluded from the deal and will continue operating independently under the leadership of Dan Stacey.
