Mississippi lands first Dolce hotel in major MICE project
$120 million conference centre and hotel development approved

Madison County in Mississippi has approved plans for a combined $120m (€102.5m) conference centre and hotel development in Ridgeland. The project introduces Wyndham Hotels and Resorts’ upper-upscale design-driven Dolce brand to the state for the first time. The project will be built within the Prado Vista development district in Ridgeland just north of Jackson adjacent to the existing Topgolf facility.

The Madison County Conference Center is a publicly financed 50,000-square-foot dedicated venue capable of hosting up to 1,800 attendees. It is designed to attract large corporate meetings, trade shows, conventions and regional events as the county’s first dedicated MICE facility. The Dolce by Wyndham Hotel is a privately financed 250-room upper-upscale hotel developed by PraCon Global Investment Group featuring multiple full-service dining venues and upscale amenities integrated directly with the event space.

The conference centre is backed by an urban-renewal bond structure. Approximately $18.9m (€16.14m) in tourism rebate proceeds will be redirected straight back to Madison County to fast-track the repayment of the construction debt rather than being kept as a developer incentive. The development is positioned to shift the regional tourism and business landscape allowing Madison County to compete for large-scale corporate relocations and national conventions.
