The International Luxury Travel Market North America has highlighted trends centred on bespoke connections, sustainability and growing demographic segments in high-end tourism. The event has taken place at Baha Mar Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. The show has brought together more than 1,050 luxury travel advisors and global suppliers.
The event has featured a focus on inclusivity and Generation Z with co-located programming including the PROUD Gathering. High-net-worth travellers have increasingly sought sustainability-focused itineraries prompting destinations and brands to emphasise community impact and environmental preservation. Emerging destinations have used the platform to target North American luxury buyers.
Delegrates heard that average luxury trip lengths have stretched to 10 to 14 days increasing from the traditional 8 to 10 day window. More than 52pc of luxury clients have planned to spend more on their travels focusing on milestone celebrations and multi-generational family vacations. More than 60pc of clients have demanded authentic local cuisine, custom excursions and exclusive access to major sporting events or sold-out concerts.
- The event hosted 525 luxury travel suppliers and 525 top-tier advisors from 250 cities, reflecting strong momentum and continuous growth in the luxury sector.
- Around 55pc of the attending advisors were participating in an ILTM event for the first time, bringing fresh perspectives while maintaining high production value.
- The integration of the PROUD Gathering (focusing on LGBTQ+ and Gen Z travel opportunities) highlighted a major push toward inclusivity, representation, and diversity in modern luxury itineraries.
- Four notable locations made their official debut at the exhibition: Newport Beach, Charleston, Morocco, and Buenos Aires.
- Organisers announced the launch of a new cross-business luxury conference called The Luxe Convergence, debuting in Cannes.
