TwinkleTown has expanded across Dublin City for Christmas 2026, with a new festive experience at St Patrick’s Park joining the returning TwinkleTown at Smithfield Square. Produced by Archetype in partnership with Dublin City Council, the two free-to-enter Christmas destinations have brought skating, fairground fun and family entertainment to Smithfield Square while St Patrick’s Park has been transformed with lighting, Christmas-themed carousels and choral performances from Sing Ireland. TwinkleTown Smithfield Square has run from 20 November to 31 December while TwinkleTown St Patrick’s Park has run from 27 November to 23 December.
Lord Mayor of Dublin Cllr Daryl Barron has shared that TwinkleTown was such a success last year that Dublin City Council has expanded the partnership to include St Patrick’s Park. Visitors to St Patrick’s Park have wandered through the illuminated park, taken turns on Christmas-themed carousels and browsed gifts from Irish makers and craftspeople. Music has been central to the new experience with choirs from across the country bringing the park to life throughout the season.
At Smithfield Square, the covered ice-skating rink has returned alongside Santo Panto, the Big Wheel, vintage funfair, live music and TwinkleTavern. Ice skating tickets have started from €8.75 while Santo Panto tickets have been priced at €5.00 per person including a small gift for young children. Accessibility and inclusion have been embedded in the programme with sensory-friendly ice-skating sessions and ISL-interpreted performances at Smithfield Square.
