The Europa Hotel in Belfast has completed an almost €650,000 investment by Hastings Hotels. The project has transformed the former Piano Restaurant into The Parlour and upgraded the adjoining Piano Lounge. The open-plan space has offered flexible dining and social areas from daytime afternoon tea through to evening small plates, wines and cocktails.

The Parlour has operated from daytime through the evening and has served as the dedicated new setting for the Europa’s afternoon tea. The space has featured contemporary luxury finishes, soft neutral tones, rich blue upholstery and brass detailing. The hotel’s grand piano has been repositioned to act as a central focal point for live music. The Piano Lounge has received new bespoke furnishings, banquette seating and a dedicated long cocktail table.

The investment also funded a new Italian marble floor directly outside the Grand Ballroom. The project has followed a five-year €17.5 million comprehensive refurbishment of the hotel’s 272 bedrooms and suites that concluded in 2024.
