RIU Hotels & Resorts has reopened the Hotel Riu Touareg following a comprehensive renovation. The 5-star All Inclusive 24h resort has been transformed with a fresh design and new culinary experiences. The hotel first opened in 2011 as the chain’s fourth property in Cape Verde and second on Boa Vista island.

All 1,181 guest rooms have undergone total redesign featuring new finishes, contemporary furnishings and renovated bathrooms. The hotel’s entire offering has focused on a complete all-inclusive family experience with the exception of the quiet pool which remains exclusive to guests over 18 years of age. The culinary experience has expanded with six restaurants and nine bars.

New dining venues include the Candy ice cream parlour, the American Country sports bar and restaurant and two Pepe’s Food grill stations. The main Morabeza restaurant has increased its indoor climate-controlled area. The Asian restaurant Kabuki has been relocated while Kulinarium has expanded. The former Snack Restaurant has been transformed into the Bereber steakhouse.

RIU Hotels & Resorts now operates six hotels in Cape Verde with three on Sal and three on Boa Vista offering a total of 4,679 rooms.
