Three four bedroom apartments are due to open above the Digi Hub in Tulsk by the end of the year. The short term letting facility is expected to be available for bookings in time for Christmas. Local managers hope it will help ease accommodation shortages in the area.

Roscommon County Council has granted planning permission for new short-term visitor accommodation in Tulsk village. The project converts residential spaces into dedicated holiday lets to address the shortage of visitor lodging in the area. The development is located on the first floor of the Meadowbrook building, situated directly above the village’s Digi-Hub. The development consists of three four-bedroom apartments. Final structural transitions are progressing rapidly, with operators aiming to open the units for short-term holiday bookings in time for Christmas 2026.

Local tourism operators support the change, noting it will allow visitors to stay longer in the region rather than passing through. The apartments are positioned to support tourists exploring the historic Rathcroghan archaeological landscape and the Rathcroghan Visitor Centre. Additionally, a separate boutique development was conditionally approved nearby in Ogulla, Tulsk. This involves the refurbishment and change of use of a derelict cottage and granary building into a self-contained two-bedroom short-term holiday dwelling, complete with a private games room and sauna facilities.
