Condé Nast Traveller Readers select Cork as second friendliest city in Europe.

Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards survey of 240,000 readers has selected Cork as the second friendliest city in Europe. 

The citation read: “Although Cork might be the Republic of Ireland’s second-largest city, the port town is even more friendly than the capital, according to our readers. This place has a big personality, an exciting culinary scene, plenty of coffee shops, galleries, museums, and an iconic food market,” stated.

The friendliest cities in Europe, according to the 2023 Condé Nast Traveller survey, are:

  • Siena, Italy
  • Cork
  • Dublin
  • Helsinki, Finland
  • Belgrade, Serbia
  • Malaga, Spain
  • San Sebastián, Spain
  • Dubrovnik, Croatia
  • Bucharest, Romania
  • Ljubljana, Slovenia
