Luton airport says 1,405 cars perished in the car park blaze that caused two days of flight cancellations.
In a statement the airport said: “Regrettably, it is unlikely that any vehicles in the car park will be salvageable. We are working to establish whether it will be possible to safely retrieve any personal possessions”
