According to Waterford airport CEO Michael Walsh, the business case for runway development at Waterford airport is complete and ready to be presented to the government.
They are currently waiting for confirmation of investment before submitting the business case.
Extensive work has been done in collaboration with the Aviation Authority, including cost evaluations and appraisals for the airport redevelopment. Negotiations with potential investors are still in progress, and a decision is expected soon.
Walsh plans to update Waterford councillors on the outcome in the next few weeks.
